ABOUT US

Neurotherapy Australia was established in 2022. Focused on making Neurotherapy accessible to those needing it the most, we partner with therapists and coaches to work together in bringing Neurotherapy into homes all over the country.

Helping People Better Understand the Brain, Body and Nervous System

At Neurotherapy Australia, we believe that many of the challenges people experience today are not simply a matter of motivation, mindset or willpower.

Modern life places unprecedented demands on our nervous systems. Ongoing stress, emotional overload, poor recovery, disrupted sleep, information fatigue and constant pressure can all influence how we think, feel, perform and engage with the world around us.

Our mission is to help individuals, organisations and communities better understand the connection between the brain, body and nervous system, while providing practical, science-informed tools that support long-term wellbeing, resilience and performance.

Through education, training, technology and evidence-informed programs, we aim to make nervous system health more accessible, understandable and actionable for people from all walks of life.

Why We Exist

Neurotherapy Australia was founded by Cameron Oates following a personal journey that highlighted the profound impact the brain and nervous system can have on every aspect of life.

After experiencing significant physical injury, chronic pain, depression and addiction, Cameron became fascinated by the relationship between the brain, nervous system, human behaviour and personal change.

The loss of his brother to suicide in 2018 further strengthened his commitment to helping others access practical tools, education and support before they reach crisis point.

Neurotherapy Australia was founded on the belief that education, awareness and practical tools should be available earlier, helping individuals build resilience, self-awareness and healthier patterns before significant challenges emerge.

Today, that vision continues to guide everything we do.

Our Mission

To empower individuals, workplaces, schools and communities with practical, science-informed tools that support wellbeing, resilience, performance and quality of life.

We believe that when people better understand how their brain and nervous system function, they are better equipped to navigate life’s challenges, improve their wellbeing and unlock their potential.

Our Vision

Our vision is to help create a future where understanding the brain and nervous system becomes as common as understanding physical fitness, nutrition and general health.

We believe nervous system education has the potential to transform the way individuals approach wellbeing, how schools support students, how workplaces care for their people, and how communities respond to increasing levels of stress and mental health challenges.

By combining science, education and practical application, we aim to contribute to healthier individuals, stronger organisations and more resilient communities.

Our Approach

Everything we do is guided by a simple philosophy:

Educate. Empower. Equip.

We believe lasting change begins with understanding.

Our work integrates contemporary neuroscience, nervous system education, wellbeing science, personal development principles and practical behavioural strategies to help people develop skills they can use throughout their lives.

Rather than focusing solely on symptoms or short-term solutions, we help people better understand the relationship between the brain, nervous system, behaviour, lifestyle and overall wellbeing.

Our goal is not simply to provide information.

Our goal is to help people create meaningful and sustainable change.

Creating Impact Beyond the Individual

While many people first encounter Neurotherapy Australia through individual programs and services, our broader vision extends far beyond one-on-one support.

We are passionate about developing initiatives that can positively impact schools, workplaces, community organisations and specialised populations across Australia.

Through education, training, partnerships, research initiatives and community engagement, we aim to contribute to a future where wellbeing is approached proactively rather than reactively.

We believe that by helping individuals better understand themselves, we can ultimately create healthier families, stronger workplaces and more connected communities.

Looking Forward

The future of wellbeing is increasingly recognising the critical role the brain and nervous system play in shaping how we think, feel, perform and recover.

At Neurotherapy Australia, we are committed to helping bridge the gap between science and everyday life by translating complex concepts into practical tools that people can understand and apply.

Whether we are working with individuals, organisations, schools or community groups, our purpose remains the same:

To help people better understand, regulate and optimise the connection between the brain, body and nervous system so they can live healthier, more resilient and more fulfilling lives.
